“We rented Lakeside for our wedding this summer. Lakeside cooperates with the registry office in Zwenkau, so that a civil wedding is also possible on site. The location is beautiful and the catering from Ratskeller in Leipzig is excellent. This location offers many different facets. A quiet garden as well as a beautiful terrace and of course a large hall where you can end the evening with dancing, good food and delicious drinks. The exchange with the friendly owner was always very uncomplicated and problem-free. Highly recommended!”

Sustainable events
Conserving resources and hosting events: That doesn’t have to be a contradiction. We want to use resources responsibly and sustainably and reduce our ecological footprint. After all, our location is not idyllic on the lake, but should also be as green as possible.
To achieve this, we have already implemented many measures in the areas of technology, catering and, more generally, procurement. We know that there is still more to do and we are constantly improving. Measures implemented to date include:
- resource-efficient procurement
- regional and seasonal food
- vegan and vegetarian alternatives
- Regional suppliers for shorter transport routes
- Use of reusable tableware
- Bio certified electricity
- energy efficient event technology & lighting
- Waste separation and waste minimization measures
- biodegradable detergents
- Short distances between event area and accommodation
