Our claim is to provide you with an uncomplicated booking of our location. Therefore, we focus on the greatest possible transparency and would like to answer questions that arise as early as possible. We have compiled the most frequently asked questions to our event team for you in our FAQ. Have fun getting to know our event location!

General

Our indoor capacity is at least 120-150 people (our standard banquet seating consisting of round tables 180 cm in diameter and 8-10 banquet chairs each). Higher numbers of guests are also possible on request, in which case we work with alternative seating arrangements, e.g. hightables and bar stools. Our outdoor area can hold an additional minimum of 200 people.

You would like to rent our location LAKESIDE for a smaller celebration with less than 50 guests? Please note that we only rent out our location completely. There is a minimum number of guests of 50 persons or a minimum turnover during the main season. However, do not be afraid to inquire with us even for smaller numbers of guests. We will be happy to find a suitable solution together with you.

The LAKESIDE event location includes several event areas that you can use exclusively at your event. In our large event room with a fantastic view of the lake you can feast and have a cool drink at the large bar. Our terraces invite you to relax and enjoy. Of course, there is also a dance floor, a lounge and state-of-the-art sanitary facilities. “Behind the scenes” are our utility and kitchen rooms.

In total, the location offers incl. Outdoor area can accommodate at least 400 people (higher capacity on request). Broken down to the individual rooms, this means:

  • Banquet hall: 150 persons seated at banquet tables or up to 180 persons seated at hightables
  • Terraces: up to 100 people seated on the front terrace plus 40 people on the side terrace
  • Garden behind the object: possible up to 250 people

We are happy to create additional capacity by using tents in the open space in front of the location or other seating options. Just talk to us about it, we will be happy to advise you.

No, we do not offer individual areas for rent, but always the complete location.

Yes, of course. However, please note our minimum purchase.

We use a standard event duration of up to 9 hours for our calculation. Of course, you may also celebrate longer at Lakeside. Additionally required personnel will be charged separately in this case.

We would like our prospective customers to have already taken a closer look at our prices and possibilities during the inspection. Therefore, you will first receive a quote for your event and if that appeals to you, we will meet for a detailed inspection.

Please understand that we offer viewings only after prior appointment. So in any case, call in advance or coordinate with us by mail. Thank you very much!

As a rule, we schedule two viewing appointments per event. At the first appointment we will show you around LAKESIDE and answer any questions that may arise. A few weeks before your event we will meet again and discuss important details about the process, service providers, etc.. Should an appointment be necessary in the meantime, e.g. because a service provider commissioned by you would like to visit the location, this is of course also possible.

Please let us know the final number of your guests at least 10 days before the event, so that our buyers and cooks can plan in time and we can reliably coordinate our deployment plans.

Important: This deadline does not apply to special events such as the school enrollment party. Here, a different notification period applies, which you can find in your offer.

Events at LAKESIDE usually end at 02.00. By arrangement, a later end of the event is also possible, additionally required personnel will be charged separately.

No, you are responsible for coordinating the external service providers you commission (e.g. for flower arrangements, decorations, music, etc.). However, please inform us in good time which service providers you have commissioned with what, so that we can provide any additional space etc. that may be required.

Important: Of course, this does not apply to service providers that you book directly through our location as part of our contract, e.g. our DJ.

Yes, an event manager will be available during your event.

Deliveries & collections are only possible during certain time windows. Please contact us in time to coordinate the date or inform the supplier that he has to coordinate the delivery date with us. LAKESIDE does not have permanent staff present to accept or issue goods. Therefore, we charge an expense allowance for deliveries that have not been agreed upon.

No. The event location LAKESIDE is located in a residential area, so out of consideration for residents and vacationers, we pay attention to appropriate noise protection between 10 pm and 6 am. In the late evening hours, just continue to party boisterously indoors.

Yes, the basic rental price of the location already includes the costs for the final cleaning.

As a rule, we do not arrange a joint handover date after your event. However, if you still want to pick up decorations etc. or have forgotten something, we will of course make it possible for you.

Yes, our location is on the first floor of the building and is barrier-free.

In principle, dogs are welcome in our location. But please let us know if you want to bring your four-legged friend.

Please also note that the owner or supervisor must ensure that the animal is leashed on the day of the event. In addition, it must not come into contact with food at the buffet and elsewhere. The owner is also liable for all damage caused by the animal to persons and the rented property. Contamination caused by the animal on the event premises will be removed at the expense of the owner.

We also reserve the right to prohibit bringing dogs to certain major events and special events for safety reasons.

Smoking is prohibited in the entire interior of the location. Smoking is allowed outside in specially designated areas.

In order to clear the location for the next day, we ask you to take away gifts, decorations etc. directly after the end of the event. If this is not possible in your case, please speak to your event manager in good time.

Arrival, parking

There are some parking areas on the event site, which you can use after arrangement & registration. Other parking is available on the surrounding streets and at the parking lot at the harbor (some with costs).

Of course, this is also possible. Parking for a bus is located in the parking lot at the port.

Catering

We do not have an external catering partner, but cook fresh on site with our own, very experienced kitchen team. Also the beverage supply runs completely over the LAKESIDE.

At LAKESIDE on Lake Zwenkau, babies and toddlers up to and including 3 years old celebrate free of charge. Kids ages 4-15 receive discounted buffet and drink packages at our regular events. Exceptions to this apply to special events such as the school enrollment party.

In addition to coffee and soft drinks, this package includes sweet desserts, various cakes and pastries or savory snacks.

Yes, that is also possible. In this case, you can take advantage of our reduced afternoon rate, which includes coffee and non-alcoholic beverages.

Yes, upon request and depending on capacity, it is possible that we store your externally produced cakes and pies in our cold room. However, we ask you to observe these specifications:

  • It is essential that delivered cakes and pies are packed securely and shockproof for safety and hygienic reasons. For example, large polystyrene boxes with lids or special cake packaging are suitable for this purpose.
  • If the baked goods must be refrigerated, the cold chain must not be interrupted during transport and delivery.
  • Cakes and pies must be ready when you deliver them to the location. It is  not possible for our staff to still make changes to the baked goods such as adding decorations, joining the cake layers, etc.
  • The person responsible for delivering the cake must contact us in advance to clarify the delivery, storage, etc.

Yes, by prior arrangement, coffee can of course be served with externally organized cakes for e.g. anniversaries or weddings.

The transport as well as the cutting and serving of the cake can only be done by trained personnel. You are welcome to book this service through us for an additional charge. Otherwise, the honor of cutting, portioning, and serving the cake falls to you or one of your guests.

Yes, of course this is possible after consultation. For this we offer you our package “Candy Bar” (for an additional charge). This includes:

  • Bar/Shelf
  • Rugs/Tongs
  • beautiful containers
  • sweet and salty snacks

You may also organize a candy bar yourself and we will reserve a place for it near the buffet. In this case, you or a company contracted by you will organize everything else (shelf or bar module, containers/glasses, snacks and rugs).

Yes, for a fee, of course, this is possible.

Yes, it is possible. Please send us your proposal, we will discuss it with our kitchen crew and make you an individual offer for your event.

Basically, our BBQs already contain many vegetarian components by default. However, purely vegetarian buffets, vegan dishes and special consideration of allergies and intolerances are of course also possible by arrangement and, if necessary, for an additional charge.

We display all additives and allergens in detail at the food stations.

Yes, this is possible under certain conditions. If you would like to take food that has not been consumed, please let us know in advance of the event. In addition, you must bring your own containers and fill them with the food. We ourselves, as landlords, are not allowed to do this for hygienic reasons.

We also ask that you take the food with you directly after the event. We cannot store leftover food due to capacity.

Yes, the service staff is organized through the LAKESIDE. At each event, among other things, bartenders are present, as well as staff for clearing. We can also organize additional staff for table service (extra charge).

Yes, all drinks are provided by the location. We work predominantly with beverage flat rates. For the evening, for example, there are various packages with and without long drinks. You will find more details in your offer, which our event team will be happy to send you.

By this we mean the drink selection, not the number of long drinks per head. We will discuss with you in advance which and how many long drinks should be on your individual event menu. As much as desired can then be drunk from these during the term of the flat rate.

yes, that is of course possible. Per guest and hour this costs min. 9,- € per hour. The exact price varies depending on the selected beverage package.

The beverage supply runs on a self-service basis at our central bar in the ballroom. Service at the table is of course also possible, for the additional staff required there is an extra charge.

We have a selected range of high quality wines and spirits in stock. By arrangement, it is possible that you bring special wines or spirits complementary to our assortment. Please consult with your event manager about this.

Furniture

Our standard seating consists of round banquet tables for 8 people each and matching modern banquet chairs. However, other seating arrangements are also possible on request, for example in the form of bar tables and bar stools, lounge elements and much more. (for an additional charge).

We provide outdoor furniture and parasols with lighting in the outdoor area. If other furniture is desired, we will gladly rent it for a fee. surcharge with our professional partners.

Yes, we are happy to provide sturdy high chairs for the little guests upon request.

There is no fixed children’s play corner, however there is enough space to set one up.

Yes, for each event we set up a counter under pavilions in the entrance area, where the guest accreditation or welcome takes place.

Yes, that is of course possible.

For an additional charge, we will be happy to provide you with our candy bar (including furniture, containers, place mats and snacks).

In principle, it is the responsibility of external service providers to organize all the necessary material for their use themselves – this also includes bar stools, high table, etc.

Technology, music, entertainment

Yes, there is a professional sound system in the location.

Yes, we will be happy to provide you with one or more microphones if required.

No, because the technology is operated by our staff for insurance reasons.

Feel free to send this info to us and we will forward it. But in any case, our DJ will consult with you again before the event.

We have a mixing console on site. Everything else (laptop etc.) will be brought by your DJ.

Yes, WLAN is available in the ballroom.

Yes, for the price of 550,- € (plus VAT) you can use our professional photo booth.

If you wish, we will be happy to put you in touch with very experienced photographers with whom we have already worked successfully. But of course you can also hire your own photographer.

Externally commissioned artists must organize the technology they require themselves.

Please inform us at least 2 weeks prior to your event if you have booked artists/entertainers so we can provide a space for them. It is also important for our team to know if the artist needs electricity so that we can make the necessary preparations.

The LAKESIDE takes over duties & fees such as GEMA, Künstlersozialkasse etc. only for entertainers & artists who are also booked directly through the location. We do not cover these fees for artists who are commissioned externally by our clients.

By the way: The GEMA fees for the musical background sound for your event are paid by our location.

We are very well connected with various service providers including DJs, dancers, musicians, fireworks artists, fire shows and many more. If you are interested, we will be happy to put you in touch with us.

Yes, there is enough space for this. The best way to do this is to use our bouncy castle package (450,- € incl. assembly & logistics).

Yes, it is possible. For employee training, vendor training & roadshows, it is extremely helpful if the product that everything revolves around can also be seen. Thanks to our double-wing, ground-level entrance, larger objects, machines and even cars can be placed directly in the location.

Decoration

You are welcome to decorate our location as you wish. However, there are restrictions on candles and structural modifications (see below). In addition, confetti and comparable small-scale decorations are not permitted because of the enormous amount of cleaning required.

All structural changes may be made only after prior consultation. If the decorations etc. leave permanent traces, you as the tenant must have them removed at your own expense.

Open fires are not permitted in the location as a matter of principle. In the outdoor area can be used special fire bowls.

You may use candles if you securely fasten them in candlesticks/holders. If there is damage or increased cleaning effort due to wax, soot, etc., the tenant is responsible for this.

Fireworks are possible in principle. However, the registration with the fire department/city of Zwenkau must be done by you (or a professional service provider, whom we also recommend for this purpose).

In principle, sparklers are allowed at Lakeside, but with restrictions. One of your guests must collect the extinguished candles again, they must not fall on the floor or on the furniture, because they leave burn & soot stains there. If the sparklers cause damage to the floor or furniture, the cleaning/repair will be at the expense of the renter.

All decorative elements, which are part of your offer or order, will be set up by our staff. However, externally organized decorations must be set up by you or a service provider.

Here it behaves the same as with the construction: We dismantle everything that you have ordered directly through us. Externally commissioned/organized decoration will be dismantled by you or your service provider.

It all depends on whether the LAKESIDE is previously occupied by another event. Discuss with your event manager when you can start decorating at the earliest.

Our florist creates high-quality, seasonally appropriate table bouquets. If you wish, you can also hire them to do other floral decorations for your event.

Of course, you may hire a floral artist of your choice.

We have some vases on site.

We use standard white cloth napkins (for weddings) or neutral color napkins at our events.

No, because of the enormous cleaning effort, we ask you to refrain from using confetti cannons and the like.

Location

The LAKESIDE is located in Kap Zwenkau, the new city quarter in the north of Zwenkau. Our location is directly on the Hafenstraße, not far from the port of Zwenkau.

The lakeshore is just a stone’s throw from the location. Just cross the street and you will get to the beach.

First and foremost, of course, the lake! This is perfect for any kind of water sports, sailors, SUP fans, divers & Co. get their money’s worth here. Around the lake runs a 22 km long path, which invites you to a nice walk or a tour by bike or skates.

Apartments

Currently we rent 5 apartments of various sizes, suitable for two to six people. You can find details in our apartments section.

No, pets are not allowed.

No, we want you to feel comfortable with us right from the start. Therefore, when you arrive, towels are already available and the beds are freshly made.

No, there is currently no tourist tax.

No, we will do the final cleaning for you.
