Our location LAKESIDE offers you first-class comfort. It is located on the first floor of a building built in 2020 with event & apartment areas. The central focal point is our large ballroom with its own premium bar and floor-to-ceiling windows. In addition, our location holds a buffet area, a dance floor and state-of-the-art sanitary facilities. Outside, a terrace with a wonderful, unobstructed lake view and our pretty garden area are at your disposal.

Lake Zwenkau
Lake Zwenkau is the largest lake in the southern Leipzig Neuseenland. With an area of almost 10km2, it offers the best conditions for water sports enthusiasts and divers. Due to the prevailing wind conditions, Lake Zwenkau is a true Eldorado for sailors and surfers. But also SUPs and paddlers, motorboat fans & Co. get their money’s worth here. For some years now, the lake, which is up to 48 meters deep, has also been inviting visitors to go on extended dives. The 22 km long circular trail around the lake is also a highlight: it is perfect for exploring the beautiful surroundings south of Leipzig while skating or cycling.
From the flooding to the new construction of the location
History
Until 1999, coal was mined where today excursionists and water sports fans enjoy their leisure time. The Zwenkau open pit lignite mine was in operation from the 1920s until 1999. After the closure of the open pit mine, the residual open pit was renaturalized and subsequently flooded from 2007 onwards. Flooding was completed in May 2015 – since then, the newly formed Lake Zwenkau has been considered the largest body of water in the Leipzig Neuseenland. The lake holds 172 million cubic meters of water and has a circumference of 22 km. The filling of the lake also marked the beginning of the development of the new urban quarter Kap Zwenkau, where our building was finally constructed in 2020 and ceremoniously opened in August 2020.
